Our wedding day!

Image
And what a beautiful day, indeed. We feel so blessed to have had all our friends and family attend.  I remember waking up the next morning with butterflies still in my stomach. "Did that all just really happen?" It felt like a dream!   Mike and I are so excited about life.  Since the honeymoon, we have been non-stop busy! We like to wake up early in the morning, head to the gym, and play basketball together after our workouts. It gives us a chance to talk about things early on in the day, in a very open way.  Of course we talk about things like children, living in different cities, travel plans etc, but some days it's more quiet and we just enjoy our company together before we enter a hectic work day.  I have been putting to good use all the amazing kitchen-ware that was gifted to us at our wedding.  Needless to say, we are eating well and enjoying i...

San Diego, day 1

Good stuff, right?  Red lips, everyday.  Can you spot my husband? Yeah, I was a little nervous him being 300 stories high uninstalling a building wrap his company put up.  Levi jeans and freshly painted toes.  Mama was hungry this morning.  Not a huge fan of Jif, but the packaging got me!  The Lafayette hotel, swim club and bungalows. I took a synchronized swimming class while husband worked.  A great first day!

Fancy a good jasmine tea, French macaroons, and croque-Monsieur? I know I do! Check out English's British at Town Square Las Vegas. A lovely time for a girlfriend date!

Our wedding was a dream.  Did it actually happen? Are we that fortunate of people to have such an extravagant event for our sakes?  Thank you to ALL who came and all who thought of us. You don't know how honored we are to have you as our lifelong confidents. After the wedding, we arrived at our amazing resort.. Secrets Silversands Riviera Maya. It's (so far) been 7 nights of pure bliss.  Aside from our waves of stomach issues, the trip has been a blast.  We have been eating such wonderful meals together, which offers us the opportunity to bond and  understand each other even more.  I definitely see the significance of a honeymoon.  Michael and I lay here in bed after a delicious meal of french onion soup and blue cheese filet and we wonder how we got so lucky. I will post more photos, but here is just one for now.  We aren't too keen on asking people to take photos of us... so selfies it is! ;) #mchammonds

Bridal Shower!

Image
My amazing mama and sister hosted my bridal shower. It was a day of elegance, joy, and fun. We played silly games, indulged on scones and petit sandwiches, and shared a few tears and laughs.  My mom surprised me with the professional sized Kitchen Aid.  She knows her baby girl VERY well. Seeing all my women gather together and celebrate Michael and I truly warmed my heart. After everyone left, a few bridesmaids stayed behind and we munched on leftovers and enjoyed a little after party.  Then Michael came over and we reopened all the gifts so he could enjoy them too! (well, except for all the lingerie ;) ) It's the happiest time of my life. I feel so ready for this wonderful adventure with my Michael. ---------------- Gluten-free cake pops by my sis and I-- we used coconut flour instead. Delicious! --Mrs. H ---  My bridal shower gifts.  Little, "something blue" whisks that all the ladies could add to their own kitchens!  My sist...
